Why No New Action Force Comics?
I'm assuming that their is plenty of eager, young artists willing to engage their childhood and write new stories for publishers in the U.K. The U.S. is going through a "retro" phase right now, where all the post Baby Boomers are buying up anything that has to do with the 80s and their nostalgic childhood. Is England and Ireland experiencing this phenomenon? If they are, then someone needs to get on the ball and start up a new Action Force comic! (G.I. Joe has been resurrected here in America, and is one of the best selling comics around. The writer simply picked up where the old series left off. Pure genius! Everybody loves it!)
General lack of sales, I expect. I remember there being quite a backlash against it from the Action Force fans who read Battle. Funny how they folded at the same time though.
Seanealy, don't forget that the toyline also ceased over here, so I'd be surprised if any retro merchandise takes off, but we can still hope.

Listen. If the "retro" phase is in full swing over there, then maybe one of you guys could contact Fleetway Publishing and Hasbro (or Palitoy, if it still exists) and buy the legal rights to "Action Force" for a limited time. How hard is it to make a comic these days? Anyone can do it on their computer, and you boys know the stories better than anyone!

Well, we're doing our coloured books now - the handshake I have with Rebellion is that if they ever reprint the Action Force stories that I will remove the relevant galleries and downloads - as I did with Death's Head and Sleeze Brothers.
