loose limbs

Post by gung-hoeddie »

i require some be advice, i have a version 1-5 stalker, his lower legs are loose, i've tried different screws but there still loose, do i need to grind the screws smaller to make a tighter fit? I haven't encountered this before hence my ignorance,

I assume you mean the lower parts are loose? Tightening hasnt really worked for me with this, I tend to put a v v v small blob of superglue on the inside of the knee joint, wait for it to dry and re-assemble.

yes it's loose at the knees, i'll give the glue a try and see how i get on, thanks for the tip, i'll use a tooth pick or something to apply the glue, i don't trust my hands with that sort of thing.

if you cut a small piece of selotape and wrap it around the knee peg- 1/2 or 1 round is sufficient- this will tighten it nicely. no messing with glue.

the glue option does work well, just move it lots when you put it back together just in case the glues still wet!
just found an awesome way of mounting heads with hot glue gun if anyone is interested......

matt varnish is safer though - superglue can frost

varnish is the sensible option, but takes longer to dry. as the glue is inside, it shouldnt matter though.....

yeah, I always use superglue for that reason, it dries much quicker and as its inside im not too bothered about the frosting...

I avoid using tape as it leaves a sticky residue that can sometimes work its way outside the joint...
