Though I completely see Jaye's point of view, I completely disagree!

New figures are almost a challenge now for me to find a space to get them onto the shelves.

There'll be no space and 5 new figures to fit on. Half hour later and a bit of shelf-swapping and moving around and presto! Like they've always been there!

Rotation of stuff? Fine in theory, but the reality after a long day's work is usually 'ah, can't be arsed!'

And for Ikea. Man, I love Ikea! It like Lego for grown-ups!

I'm never happier than when I've something from Ikea that needs building.

I use the Billy range and they ROCK! I've doubled the shelving, added extra parts to fit up into the 'lost' space above the cabinets and below the ceiling, changed the doors... Like I said, it reminds me of the Lego days!

So, obviously each to their own, but for me, Ikea every time.

Paul,

do you have to affix the Billy's to the wall? The don't look that stable otherwise. I'm wondering how they will fix with the skirting to take into account too.

Yeah, there's no problem there Dave.

They have a little section cut at the base for the skirtingboards and come with attachments to screw into the wall at the top to keep them safe and secure.

As far as I am aware, Billy is a huge seller for Ikea, so I guess lots of people have their own various little collections in their houses on display via Billy and his mates..

I just did my entire study in the billy furniture! Good, sturdy shelving. Can't go wrong!
And, for cheapness, my cabinets came from Argos! They've got lights in and everything too. Can't go wrong.

Wow loving the displays!!! I wish I could have mine on display but everytime I get some spare money to maybe spend on some nice glass fronted cabinets I see something toy related to buy :0( bit sad really but I am sure one day I will have everything on display..
Dave do you have more space in the room for extending your cabinets or is that pretty much what wall spcae you have?
