Did the lady customiser in question produce the Vlix figure in your collection?

No, the custom Droids & Ewoks were from a guy in the US. I bought them off him a couple of years back and have tried his email recently but it's 'gone dead' and mailerdemon responds.

I know another guy [in the UK] who makes them, though. I can give you his email if you want but they really aren't cheap - about £40 to £50 quid each. All of them are superb, though, and look identical to originals.

However, if anyone is looking for an original, I have an original unproduced prototype Paploo First Shot for sale at £600...

Sweet Mary mother of god Dave. Ewok's figures are hard enough to find and I'm damned grateful my first love is AF and not SW. I'd be flat broke otherwise.

And Paul, I know how you feel. I have a baby sitter over tomorrow who is bringing her younger brother, friendly with my Son - same age group. Good kids, but I'm a bit nervous that the AF's and Millennium Falcon will get abused. I may not have a lot but most kids who check it out stand in awe. Nothing prouder ;) I never get tired of looking at those pics of yours Paul.

BTW Dave, what's this Palitoy DVD you speak of? I have a Tri-ang DVD that's incredible to watch, interviews with original employees etc. Anything like that?

Oh you mean this one ;)

It's a DvD I pulled together bringing all the marketing material from the UK in one place, it features 15 TV adverts, many not seen since they originally aired, plus also all the print marketing as there was only one commercial station in the UK at the time, so Palitoy did not need to invest as much in TV like Kenner did.

I was only teasing Paul as he just bought a copy ;)

Holy sh*t man. Are all those figures vintage?

I have a few Star Wars bootlegs/Fan films that have Palitoy Star Wars ad's. From original vintage VHS ;)

Paul's gonna be busy I think. I just sent him a few that feature those ads too. The ADM Spoofs DVD primarily. The Angrysun Holiday Special has a few as well iirc.

What's behind me is all vintage, you can just spot the Paploo on a step with other prototypes, the loose figures to the right of the pic are all modern, mostly troop builders like the clone army pic I posted the other week :)

What's the ADM Spoof? I love stuff that will never be seen on a regluar official LFL product.

I've had some really odd stuff over the years, one of the weirdest was Geordie Wars, effectivly Star Wars dubbed over by a load of pi$$ed up Geordies. I remember everytime lando came on screen they called him Apollo Creed, very funny and in keeping with the spirit.

Ahhh I should mention it's Palitoy Star Wars stuff only, not Palitoy in general, but for anyone interested in a trip down memory lane, they are available in both PAL and NTSC formats. It comes with a 24 page booklet and is £10 + £2.48 P&P within the UK.

Here's Dave's excellent Palitoy DVD - cheers again for this Dave!

I've had a quick look through and its all lovely Palitoy-advert-nostalgia goodness!

I'm amazed that I can't remember most of these ads, yet I surely would have been watching all the kids shows on the telly at the time being aged between 4 to 10.

Still, thanks to Dave, my lack of memory is not a problem, as I have this lovely dvd - and cracking booklet - to fill my memory gap!

Recommended to all!

That's got me thinking (and wandering off-topic), do you have any of the old Zoids TV ads available, Dave?
