i then decided to stuff a kinder egg with caps and a little vial of petrol, i even made a fuse with a piece of string some glue and some ground up match heads. lit the thing and it literally blew up in my hand and covered my arm with petrol so of course i did what you're supposed to do which was to scream like a jessie and run around like a maniac fueling the flames. luckily a mate managed to rip my jacket off before any real damage was done. my hand was pretty badly burnt but i couldnt let on to my parents or i would have been in serious trouble.

We went through a stage at my local youth club of spraying our hands with lighter fluid, and setting fire to them. If you did it right, you got a flaming hand, and looked all Ghost Rider. If you did it wrong, you looked very uncool and all Freddy Kruger. Luckily they fixed the pool table shortly afterwards.

But of course ;) We used to save up all sorts of cash for Guy Fawkes night in NZ. Joyous days. My Mum still gets fireworks around that time of year if she knows I'm coming home. In Aussie you have to drive to another state to get the stuff. Not worth the trouble.

Lucky I never put my finger over the end of my bunny gun. I prefer Shotguns ;)

My Son just saw your pics, Dave. He stood there with his mouth open for about a minute. I think you made a 6 year olds day.

This threads been a hoot. Be wary of My little Pony Lunch boxes I say ;) Ya never know.

:chopper:

PS tins of baked beans on the fire during Scouts camps was another personal favourite. Also used to make explosives from reloading powder.... Respect to the cow pat idea too. Our Mums would have Kittens reading this....

playing chicken with aerosol cans on a fire

scaffold jumping between houses on a building estate

the old fireworks mini rockets load them in a tube and fire them at the rival village gang from moving cars which then turned in pre designated areas like quarrys which makes curbs stacked up basically paintball with rockets which then the good old bangers became granades (i can now see why i did 12 years in the army)

Last time I was bored and got carried away I ended up at the local pharmacist buying the morning after pill for a girl I didn't even know the name of. That was the night I ended my so called Jack Daniels period.
