That's easy. He lived in the US. Heaps of Mexicans in the US military.jamarmiller wrote:So I been thinking why does he have a US Marine Tatoo on him when he is Mexican

Before you couldnt, ( or at least to my understanding ) but now you can as I just learned 3 months ago when my son was born. so thats definately possible or like you said he could have emigrated as well . Id like to think hes in/from the Mexican military before joining AF thoughChopper wrote: Can you have dual Citizenship in the US? maybe with dual citizenship he served in the marines and then after his intial service period was over went home to serve in the Mexican military instead?

Possibly. NZ and Aussie share troops for training purposes between both countries - semi permanent loan. Maybe Mexico had a similar program with the US and he was a Mexican serving in the US Marines for a year or two?jamarmiller wrote:Before you couldnt, ( or at least to my understanding ) but now you can as I just learned 3 months ago when my son was born. so thats definately possible or like you said he could have emigrated as well . Re: Why does Gaucho have a marine tatoo on him?
I did some research into this before I posted the question actually and I couldnt find anything like that ..............doesnt mean its not possible or it hasnt been done but the hour I took to research it I couldnt find anything like thatChopper wrote:Possibly. I guess it could have been a top secret kind of thing ? or maybe my research was thorough enough?

Re: Why does Gaucho have a marine tatoo on him?
I like to think that he got the tatoo whilst drunk on shore-leave, however the tatoo artist just asumed he was American as he had passed out on the chair, and done the design as US Marine.
Gaucho, not remembering where he got it done could not get a refund and kept it as painful constant reminder to never drink again.
Wow, do you think I could write filecards with cack I come up with?

Yes, people can have dual citizenship in the US.
I have dual citizenship (British/US) And I've had it for 55 years!
Also, US troops do indeed have training and operational prograpms with other countries. (In fact one of the problems of the past 8 years is that the US lessened their military program engagement in some countries in South America - and as a result, some of those countries have turned to China to fill the gaps...)
At West Point - the premier Military Academy in the US - several cadets come from countries all over the globe. Here is the geographical distribution for 3 of the 4 classes currently at the Academy:
International cadets at West Point: (These cadets will return to their country as officers in their armed forces).
The class of 2009
The international cadets are from the countries of Afghanistan, Belize, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Chad, Guyana, Jamaica, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lithuania, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Tunisia.
The class of 2010
The international cadets are from the countries of Belize, Cameroon, Iraq, Latvia, Malaysia, Maldives, Nicaragua, Palau, Peru, Romania, Rwanda, and Thailand.
The class of 2011
The international cadets are from the countries of Albania, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Georgia, Kenya, Korea, Paraguay and Tonga.
