Battle Gears

Post by SteveD »

A question for the MOC collectors this one I guess, but do folks consider MOC Battle Packs as part of their collection? I have about ten or more, that I'm about to rip open to tool up some of the boys, but am considering holding back one of each force to keep MOC. Is this just me going overboard, or has anyone else kept them carded?

Could there be a day when we see MOC Battle Gears become so rare that a MOC AFA graded set of Battlegears pay off the mortgage on SteveD Towers?

I keep the battle packs carded. Apart from SAS, the battle packs do not hold much original rifles. So for me there is no use to open them.

You see the battle packs quite often. By the time they get ultra rare, we prolly will be dead. ;)

I've kept one from each force and opened others to tool up the boys. I may even put them in an acrylic case..... eventually.

This is post 600 I'm a Shad!! Never thought when I joined that I'd post very often. But I've managed to talk bollocks ( or contribute to the discussion) for 600 posts!

I know I'll not be able to resist that too Paul. They are about the last in line though I think - the cases will be worth two times more than the contents!

I always keep a battle gear from each force in an acrylic case. The moc collection isn't 'complete' without one.

That said, as soon as any new moc's arrive, they always get given the case and the weapon's packs sit in a shoebox until I get a new batch of acrylic boxes in.

Squatters really then? Keeping the cases warm.

Best get them on notice for your new arrivals...

Yep. They arrived today, so some of my weapons packs are in for a night in a cold shoe box in the attic!

the accessory packs are the only thing I've never had an interset in, largely due to the recolouring of the weapons.

what's the next level after a Shad, I'd also say the former for those 600 posts, j/k

did you get those pics I sent you Paul by the way
