Old posts

Post by SteveD »

I've just spent ten minutes looking back at some old posts, and some are really interesting.

Here we are a few years later and what we wouldn't give for a haul of 900 moc's!

Or a number of posts by Jonesy as the collection was building (owner of the amazing collection of MOC's we were treated to the other week)

Amazing how prices have moved on. As have a good few collectors it seems.

Yeah, there was a classic photo of that haul spilled out all over the hallway, as I recall.

900? Fark a duck. How's that possible? No wonder there are so many carded Muton's about.

Been doing a bit more reading back of old posts in the archive (recommended to everyone - there's some good stuff back there!) and found this one really interesting:-

I seem to think Newseller is Jon Bow - and note with lots of interest his relentless pursuit of a MOC Minesweeper. I ultimately got my Minesweeper off Jon Bow! I seem to think it was around 2004/5. If I'm right then this post is seemingly the tale of his acquiring my Minesweeper!

I was also just starting out building my collection around 2003 onwards, so I'm guessing I would have been one of the ones bidding against these guys around 03/04/05 time!

And weren't they on a dedicated website or something, nichts? It's lost in the mists of time now. I think J Bow bought 'em.

Speaking of which, where are Jimbo, Steve n Mr. Bow et al?

:quick:

PS. And where's da mighty Meertoh?
