My new Germany AF items and some questions

Post by Northwinds »

Today I received a nice lot of loose German AF toys. All in excellent condition. Now I am left with a few black Star Wars pistols (in the picture they may seem dark grey but they are very black) and the Cobra Commander pistol. The CC pistol could belong to a missing Baron I presume but what about the Star Wars pistols? I have never see them in black with vintage SW figures I think.

(Only 23,50 euro for this lot, shipping included, I think I may be pleased :) )

Yes, you are right of course! I forgot about those!

Is there any chance that the pistols came with German Action Force figures too?

Peter,

Gerry AF figures were supplied with the following rifles:
  • Star Wars 4LOM rifle
  • CCv1 laser pistol
  • Gaucho v1 rifle
  • Major BLudd v1 laser pistol
Your rifles are most likely Star Wars. Perhaps it is one of the many f*ck-ups Palitoy made during production back in the eighties! ;)

Yes, I looked on that site already but did not find any info on a German AF figure with this gun.
Ah well, these pistols were a welcome bonus even if they may not belong to the figures.

Hi Niels,

Yes, I think it may be one of those Palitoy factory errors.
I will ask the seller if he ever had vintage SW or if the guns came with the AF figures that he sold me.

Nice haul by the way Northwinds! Incredibly good for 23euro!

Out of interest - do the jointed figures (Quarrell and Stalker) have any logos on them at all? Am I right in saying the UK figures never had a Z Force or SAS logo on them either? If so it's only the vehicles that differed, and the non-jointed figures?

I love these german ranges - just shows how even in the 80's the Wars were still fresh in peoples minds enough to change the toys to the Terror Band.

Were the German ATT's etc made in Leicester? (I'm at work still so can't check packing on mine).
