The complete works / best of colllection

Post by redrage »

have been looking through the colouring pages and initially the plan seemed to be the best of collections and now we are moving towards the complete works. have a few questions and please excuse my ignorance.

1) are the two projects compatable - will volume three which will be the complete works be same style as volume two which is a best of

2) otherwise is the fact that you intend to do all of the stories the factor that moves the best of to a complete works

3) trying to access the purchase page and there is a disclaimer to say look here before purchasing about a second edition which for some reason i can't open. what is that about?

4) you mentioned that the hardbacks will not have a spine or at least not one like the ones you put on the vol II colouring topic. does anyone have pics of the two books so i can decide which to buy (want to buy for myself and my cousin as a present so want to choose what i think is the best one) in other words which version looks best on a bookshelf

sorry for my questions and also want to put out my thanks to all who colour the pages. Amazing job by all. seeing the revitalised pages makes me a little kid again

A

No problem at all thanks for the questions! Ill try to tackle some of them

Same style? well the books are from different publishers and will look different in size and if you choose the best of collections will have the choice of hardback or softback, the complete works at this time will only be softbacks. I believe they will also be AMERICAN size where the best of collection is the old UK newsprint size or pretty dam close at least

There will be no more best of collections but the complete works will continue, the best of collection has a special ARGEN 7 story that will be reprinted in another Argen 7 comic at some point with an extension to its story both before it and after it. But again that wont be in the complete works ,Also there was several characters that died in the comics that we had made Data file for and those have been cut out of the new Complete works books

BOTH look awesome on the shelf,

THe COMPLETE Works has a forward, a colorist contact page, and index and page numbers where the best of collections didnt have it.

Best of Collection #0 for 14 dollars is an American Sized 330 page black and white only book for members ONLY and you wont find it advertised on the site. its available only to members and through PMS with myself

?? not for sure what you mean, the stories are being rearranged to better fit so some stories that were in Volume 1 of best of collections will be in Volume II of the Complete works and visa versa

thats just saying to look below to see that the complete works is being made

you should be able to access the Best of collections no problem again if you need the link to #0 Pm me, but the links for volume 1 and 2 are still up at the moment until the complete works is ready

have just ordered two copies of the best of collection volume one. my cousin who was a big action force fan when he was a kid and my rival for buying the toys and reading my comics will be surprised when he sees this i am sure. at least i know for certain no one else will get it for him. now just gotta hope it arrives in time for christmas.

as for issue #0 i would be interested for sure if it would be possible to see whats in it

will eventually buy all the rest of the productions as and when they become available though being a bit of a nerd the hardback option always appeals to me if that would be possible in the future

again thanks for all your work

No, I'm afraid it's a new start. Elements of Complete Works Vol3 are in the first two Best Of books.

Pretty much, the Best Of project was us releasing strips when they were finished, the new Complete Works project is more planned.

I think you need to refresh the page. That old link is to the forum thread posted before the crash last month. The link takes you here: http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/phpbb2/ ... =29&t=2747

There will be no further Best Of books so I strongly advise to wait until thr Complete Works project is available. Once they are the Best Of order links will be removed. The Complete Works have not been printed yet so I'm afraid I cannot show any pictures.

Not a problem, the whole thing has been a bit messy what with the fourm crashing and having to find a new publisher. To clarify, the Best Of project is being scrapped and replaced with the Complete Works. The pages are being uploaded to Comixpress this weekend and the first three volumes will be available very soon.

Oops.

If you can, I'd advise you to cancel that order. I have just spent two months painstakingly improving these books and they are 99.9% ready for release.

Don't worry have bought it as a present for my cousin whi i'm sure will get as hooked as i am on the comics as we were both BAF fanatics as kids. Just allows me to buy him a present that i know no-one else can possibly get him.

I'm in for all the complete works no matter what

I'd still advise cancelling the order if you can, I know Lulu take 10-15 days to preapre an order. Another important factor (and the reason the revamp first started) is that I have found new techniques for cleaning up the pre-coloured scans. The new books will be far less grainy.

In fact, I believe paul was looking to sell his Best Of books. If you could cancel with Lulu you would still get these in time for Christmas.
