Online purchases . . .

Post by redrage »

Aside from e-bay and its linked shops are there any other sites online that you can find action force toys?

Presuming you mean the UK, try here:

I've bought a few goodies from them and was quite happy. Their grading standards differ from mine quite a bit so I wouldn't buy anything below "very good" condition, but the prices are decent.

We've also bought from Empire Island and found them very good - quick postage and well packed; just don't take it for gospel that they have in stock what is listed; we clicked on a few items to purchase only for an "out of stock" message to come up.

Would never buy from Who Blackpool again, though - first lot we had was fine but the second lot was short of half an MMS and an entire SAS Jeep and driver - they said it had been posted separately, then they said it hadn't been posted at all, then they said they had be sent, then they didn't have a tracking number for it..... they told me emails had been sent but I hadn't received any (even though I gave them both my office and mobile numbers and said "please phone me rather than emailing").

I found Empire Island to have a pretty slow stock turnaround (understandable I suppose), but if you can add it to your basket, it means they should still have it.

yeah, there's no problem with like paying for stuff they haven't got, it's only at the point where you click on "add to basket" that you get the message - there were three different Action Force/GI Joe things we wanted that were listed on the site that came back as "not in stock". Just tried it with the first four items they've got listed under "Action Force" (AF3, Stingray, SAS Boat Patrol and Battletank) and they all came back with that message

ive bought twqice from empire island and had bad experiences both times... I bought and paid for stuff and received no communication back for two weeks so had to open a paypal dispute. they then replied saying it hadnt been sent as they were out of stock but the annoying this was that the items they mentioned being out of stock werent what I ordered, then 2nd time I received the stuff but one was in bad condition and the other was a completely different item,...

and we had the AF3 so I knew that wasn't going to be in stock ;)

The Kraken Wakes - that would seriously put me off ordering from them again - one mistake can be put down to experience, but two sounds a bit like carelessness.

I thought I would give them another chance but they messed up again though they did put it right without me having to open a dispute the second time...
