MIB / MOC

Post by redrage »

Is it just me or are a lot of carded figures coming on line on e-bay at the moment?

Am just starting my second action force collection (the one as an adult - still got my childhood ones) and for some reason really love the idea of the carded figures hence now have about 20 of them. But find it wierd that toys that are 25 years old would be appearing in largely untouched state even now.

Not that it will cause me too much distress. Is lovely to have that rush of buying the unopened toy for the first time again though

I noticed that too, and the pricing doesn't seem to be much different to loose figures. There is some wild variation among ebay sellers mind you. Personally I struggle with MOC, I look at them and "MUST PLAY" starts going thru my head. I only have 2 MOC (Han Solo POTF, a German Breaker and one more on the way thanks to BFTB;-) but in the end I just admire them and remember what it was that got me excited as a kid. That's pretty cool.

If it was a command centre I think I would go insane.

I think MOC collecting is almost a natural progression after collecting loose figures.

Prices are a bit up and down, often not going for much more than a loose mint figure.

One carded figure that went on ebay a while ago that sticks in my mind was a 1990 Range Viper that went for about £115, I'm still not sure how that happened

I only have a few MOC 25th figures (Doc, Flash, v1 Storm Shadow) because they look so nice, but there's no way I could afford to collect the originals MOC. I'd be too tempted to open them anyway.
