I have tried darkening it but with dodgy results, shame they dont do a "Shadow" red !!!

Red Gore is slightly darker, but the problem is that both reds take several coats to cover, and in some cases continue to rub off when dry (at least in my experience), so I'd probably try humbrol acrylics next time I'm painting something red

i use a dull varnish on my warhammer blood red which darkens it a bit
