Reviews of AF Comic reprints

Post by trysop »

Hello all,

I was hoping that some of you out there may have already got these and might be able to share a review of them with me:

ACTION FORCE BEST OF COLLECTION VOLUME # 0
http://www.lulu.com/content/4218062

Volume 1: International Heroes
soft cover http://www.lulu.com/content/2200371

Volume 2: Blood For The Baron
soft cover http://www.lulu.com/content/4174645

Specifically, do all the volumes have different content or is Vol 0 the B&W version of Vols 1 and 2. And what is the print quality and binding like on these?

Also has anyone form the UK ordered copies and if so how did you find the transaction, shipping etc.

Thanks for your help.

We're actually scrapping the Best Of project in favour of The Complete Works. The first three volumes should be released any day now!

Excellent news!

Personally I have always preferred to buy compete works in volumes rather than "best off" editions as you nearly always end up with duplicates.

I look forward to hearing of the new releases.

Thank you

Simple review: They're bloody brilliant!

Although come the new versions, they'll be even more desirable.

I actually need to go through the proofs before committing to print. If it's possible I'll upload them to the site so that people can have a look and help check them. I think I'll get a .pdf file for each volume if I'm reading it right.

We're still waiting on 9 pages, and I have some bits and bobs to tidy yet..

Just to answer some of your questions though

the Best of Collections all have different contents

the Best of collection #0 Black and white is 330 pages, from the original strips, reprinted in Black and white and there will never be another black and white book done

the other best of collection books, the new complete works, and all future books of the complete works will always be in FULL COLOUR and believe me when I say you havent read an action force story until you have read these stories in full color. The color brings a whole new life to them, the guys have done a really wonderful job on it.

The only other thing right now that is available is ACTION FORCE RED DAWN #1 and #2! with 3 all completed and is with the series Editor for final tweeks before going to printing

oh and Yes Baron you will get a PDF to download and save!
