that ad is fantastic, I can't believe that even with inflation, the prices of the Fisher price toys is still sky high!! £7.99 for a wired analogue phone (with wheels and a smile) is riduculous!
Only the Scout Walker and Speeder bike have stayed at roughly the same initial retail prices. I thought my speeder bike was expensive when I bought it in 1985 for £4.99!
I guess Hayden Christensen must be pretty hard up now, given George Lucas's "fantastic" script writing and is having to do these lowly roles?

Dear Father Christmas
I'd like an Evil Knievel and an Atari for Christmas. I have been a good girl (well, kind of) all year and promise be nice to my mummy and daddy until Christmas morning when, on finding that I've been given a Gonk and some silly putty again and having consumed a entire Cadburys selection pack I go mental and rip down the tree.
PS you can keep the fecking Fisher Price phone - they were crap the first time round
Love From
Annie (age 30 and a bit)
incidentally, you can now get new Fisher Price phones from the slightly stupid retro- and tat-shop in Taunton town centre.

Re: 1984 tv advert
I still have ALL my Atari's. 25 of them;-) Got my first in 1983, still fix them up too. You cannot beat Star Raiders on the Atari XL/XE range. There were 3 toys I wanted as a kid. First; the Millennium Falcon, second, an X-wing (got one last year - pics to come later), and finally a Snowspeeder.AnnieM wrote:Dear Father Christmas

Xmas before last I walked into the local toy's R us store and they had X-wing's for $50au, I bought one, then rang my Mum in NZ and told her if she still had my Xmas list from 1977, she could cross that one off;-) Still dirty I didn't get one before, but in 77 they were freaking expensive.

Re: 1984 tv advert
Having won the AF Atari game in the 25th celebrations I'd still like an Atari now!!!!
