None of those shots really reflect the size of the show... these, of the re-enactors post battle roll call, will give a better impression:

I counted, during the main event, at least 9 assorted Half Tracks, 3 Shermans & 1 Stuart tank on the Allied side... and more Jeeps than you could point a stick at.

Hi there English Joe, these events are pretty well advertised in specialist publications. The best show of it's kind is The War & Peace Revival which is held down in Kent.. a truly massive event that attracts visitors & military vehicle collectors from all over Europe.

Here's a few pictures from Duxford:

It absolutely bucketed it down and many flying displays were cancelled last Saturday, which the day I went... just my luck (Sunday was perfect weather wise).. but that's the trouble with booking tickets so far in advance I guess

Many people I've spoken too feel that Duxford air-show's are going down hill & that they're killing the events with high prices & advance ticket entry only.
I tend to agree, this year they slapped a £5 car parking fee (which used to be free) on top of the of your ticket price and selling programmes at £6 a pop, access to the flight line was 6 quid per person... I know they have a lot of overheads and safety concerns but it's getting too expensive for your average punter.

Yeah, it was a great line up.. sadly the jets only taxied around the airfield due to the poor conditions.

I'm probably sounding a bit bitter due to the bad weather, which is beyond control, & don't get me wrong I still had a fantastic day out.. but, it seems their attitude's "Takings are down so lets increase our ticket prices".

I've noticed that down here too. One of the airshows at an RAAF base hasn't been run for a few years now. Just stopped out of the blue. We have Avalon but I find that little more than a recruiting drive. The two local ones were great for warbird enthusiasts. Now we have just one. Mind you, we still get to see some pretty rare aircraft.

Hi folks,
I've just finished cleaning & photo archiving my vintage Battlestar Galactica figure collection..

(Just the Gold Cylon Commander figure left for me to find now)

The only vehicle in my vintage collection is The Cylon Raider, it's the most accurate of the vehicles Mattel produced at the time:

Judging by the cockpit & pilot, unlike Kenner, Mattel didn't seem all too concerned about screen accuracy in their products.. yet it's still a nice toy.

I think the previous owner must of modified the toy as the projectiles do work on this one.
