So, do you guys feel the SAS Pilot is a standard production figure that might have been used in a catalog or do you guys think it might be a prototype? I would really like to get everyones opinion on these figures. Are the ones I picked out as possibly different just variations or are they prototypes?

Thanks,
Chris

Clearly pre production items Chris, you have done well to get these. :)
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Agreed. Full on robot chubby, as bill and ted would say.
Let me tell you, Gunner La-De-Dah Graham, the British Army can fight anything! Intimate or not!

The frogman had a white face on the watch and the Major looks hand painted, might be wrong.

Thanks Paul, guess it's impossible to tell unless you have them In hand.. My guess is that the frogman is an early release so has the added details.

I won an AF9 which came with some other incomplete large carded items (which I wasn't bothered about, just had a quick check of them:

This auction had a ton of hidden gems. Those hand painted hunters are gorgeous. Very jealous on those.

If vectis new what they had and advertised all these prototypes, they would have made alot more money.

The SAS PILOT I got is hand painted. Took it out into natural lighting and I can see the light color material under the paint at the joints.
