Re: Imperial War Museum Pics
Thanks, would've taken a few more but there were a few exhibits where pictures weren't allowed, especially in the holocaust exhibition (for obvious reasons).
They had an SS uniform in the holocaust exhibition and it gave off a really eerie scary feeling. The Nazi uniform designers really knew what they were doing.

The German uniforms were designed by top designers that were designing stuff until they recently snuffed it, can't remember their names though......
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Re: Imperial War Museum Pics
I'm not a fan of what they have done to the museum if I am honest. Gone is the light airy foyer, where people could circulate round the larger exhibits and access the rest of the museum. Replaced by a dark, narrow obstructive layout where the exhibits are shoved into corners and hidden behind pillars. The access for the galleries is also terrible with this new layout causing serious bottlenecks.
Without wanting to sound like an old fart, the previous version was better, if they wanted to update it there were far better options the new incarnation is a massive step backwards.

Neat pics, I'll put that on the list with the Aussie War Memorial and MOTAT.

Let me tell you, Gunner La-De-Dah Graham, the British Army can fight anything! Intimate or not!

I would also add the RAF museums at Hendon and cosford to the list too.

Apparently there is a Harrier in NZ, flown by a Kiwi pilot during the Falklands. Hell, its in Ashburton. I'll be there next week, unfortunately a couple of hours south.
So many good places to visit.....
