Flint

Post by Davey Boy »

:flint:

As I may have mentioned previously, my favourite Character is definitely Flint.
I have my original Action Force version complete with file card. Never been played with and kept since child hood in immaculate condition. (I bought subsequent versions to compliment my force)
Here he is:

I like the AF version because he was English and he had the same first name as me. Here was my new hero to help destroy the forces of Evil (wether they be red :laser: or blue :cofficer: )

When I started re-collecting AF figures I was surprised how many versions of Flint had been produced so I went about collecting them:

here is the new 25th Anniversary fig. I don't collect these as im too much of an o ring fan BUT I just had to have this one:

Tiger Force Flint was another version I liked. Im not familiar with the whole Tiger Force back story yet but I think this fig is awesome and really works.

I have many versions of the original Flint (mainly for play reasons) so I thought that Flint would look cool armed with a British Army SA80 as he is afterall English in the AF timeline. The weapon really compliments him.

Eco-Warrior Version, I like it but it is very toyish. I'm thinking of putting a Beret wearing flint head on this figure by way of a cheeky conversion and adding a trade mark shotgun and ditching the over-sized plastic looking toxic blasters.

Not a great fan of this style of Gi-Joe split ring fig, but again for collection continuity I got it cheap from eBay:

And last but not least, this figure helped me kickstart my re-interest with AF figures. I read the Vacation in the Shadows Comic and I just had to have the Figures, being a Flint fan the comic was great for me as it brought together the Red Shadows fighting directly against my hero. I love this figure as it captures the look and feel of the original but brings it to the present day with his uniform camouflage looking very much like the current British Army MTP (Multi Terrain Pattern) camo gear.

Thank You. All versions are on my list including the night force fig, I believe there are 23 different versions of Flint out there? I am mainly interested in o ring figs so version 9+10 would be right up my street :flint:

Well, v10 is not really an O-ring in my Joe-verse as I only collect the "vintage" styles but you may want to find v17 too at some point. It was the parachute-drop version from the 2010 Convention set (still need it myself ;))
