I always wanted a modern Backstop as he's the only Canadian Joe. I didn't want to paint the legs yellow cause it's just too much work. I thought that maybe if I leave him in Beachhead colors, it would be more plausible than a guy running around with yellow pants.
My take on the figure was that I wanted him more militarized. Not sure if it shows, but the front part of his helmet is darker than the top and back part as the front is exposed to the elements when he's driving the Persuader. I wanted to put a little yellow in there as a homage to the original figure, so I painted his belt yellow and gave him red gloves and red highlights on the boots.
For the 'Blowtorch' version of Backstop (ie. Argentina version), it was done for me by OreoBuilder. The only thing I did was paint the Blowtorch helmet and oxygen mask as the version he made for me used the original Backstop helmet. This was my favorite Argentine figure as I am a huge fan of Blowtorch.

Just for fun, with Blowtorch backpack, so he can either be Argentina Blowtorch or Backstop.
