Damn! Didn't know there was this variant. I shall be scouring the Ebay in my never ending obsession with variants, and shall not sleep until one is nestling safely on my shelf!

Paul, very cool! Thanks for posting the pic!
The painted gun looks great - I wouldn't have been able to tell it from the actual one!

You did an awesome job!

Here is a picture of the red Cobra Commander Pistol that came with a German TSATT Phoner I won on ebay.
It is made of moulded red platic & is not painted.
I should mention that this was the figure that had its' Blister stapled to its' Card so I can not swear it is the original accessory, buy as I said in the Topic "who is ebay: rcm1234567" it is pictured as a variation on Clemens Scholl's website http://www.toyarchive.de/att/af_germany.htm.

I am planning to post a Topic showing my West German collection but it may take a while to get it organised.
I hope this photo helps

this looks like a resin repro to me, the texture isnt as smooth as an injection molded one.

I would imagine it would be very brittle ?

It's amazing the imperfections that closeup photography reveal!

I also just took some photos of the red pistol - and from a "normal" distance, it appears smooth... but in a very closeup picture (much like the one above), it appears rough and pocked...

The pistol I photograph is the original. I removed it from the card myself a few years ago. (I also got one in a misc. lot a while back, and it is exactly the same)

The close up picture makes it look lighter as well... hmmmm

Lovely, crisp photos Aire.

They look brand new fresh from the factory, not 25 years old!

Shhhhhh Dont tell too many of us Americans theres a red CC pistol included with German figures. Finding German figures are already a pain, I dont need more people with lots more money searching for them. :breaker:
