Helicopter pilot, variant or Friday special.

Post by wolforrest »

Hi guys, I got this fella in a bulk lot a while back and have not seen one with a yellow mask before. It is factory painted, so does it add to Hoppers variant list or is it a one off Friday special?

Cheers.

I think it's a Friday special paint app' error.

That don't stop it looking major cool.

If the head's is made from a yellow plastic (which I think it is) I would say a Friday special ie nobody painted the mask. Nice to have in your collection

Great stuff!
It looks better not painted, I think.
Just double-checked mine, and yeah, as Humby said, the head itself seems to be moulded in yellow and everything else is painted on.
Glad to see the Friday Afternoon Special is present in Series 1.
I wonder if it has any antecedents in the Action Man range? Does anyone know if Friday lunchtime pub sessions were common throughout all eras of Palitoy?
