Lego-based fiction

Post by DAMartin »

I think here in the forum, most of us have shown positive thoughts about the LEGO building sets and minifigures, so I wondered: what are the thoughts about the fictional works about Lego franchises? What do you guys think about the stories of Bionicle, Hero Factory, Clutch Powers, Ninjago, Chima and/or The Lego Movie?

I have never been in to Lego even as a kid. I think I am purely too lazy for it!
I took my soon to see the movie and I had a great two hours sleep, he absolutely loved it.
Everyone was a winner and a lovely day was had by all.
That said I do like the mini figures and am trying to push the lad to go for the TMNT ones but he is obsessed with bloody Batman.
I have seen all three series of Batman the brave and the bold around a thousand times and can recite the dialog pretty much word for word :banghead:
Not here for a long time, just here for a good time.

I used to love Lego when I was growing up, never had very much but I made the most of it, & would let my imagination run wild building anything & everything...creating my own stories & adventures or incorporating it with other toys.
I'm worried that these licensed product is reducing children's creativity a bit with their pre-set play patterns & storylines.. then again I do see the argument that such things can by a marvellous creative springboard for a young imagination.
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!

I freaking love lego!!! I'm sad as I recently had to sell my black pearl and queen Anne's revenge. :-(

Not followed the stories too much, but loved the movie, and also love the short story on YouTube that goes with lego Atlantis sets!!

Mr.Forrest... BOOO!!!!!! Lego is the best! Although it does now represent the downturn of the modern day 3 3/4 inch action figure in favour of the "mini fig".

Lego was my weapon of choice as a kid, if I didn't have the real toy then I'd make the lego equivalent, the Millennium falcon was always the bane of my life, how to make a square block round? Saying that I had the Kenner falcon so why I was constantly trying to make the thing i have no clue lol.... My lego centurions were the bomb though ;)

At last I watched the Lego movie. I mostly liked it except for the "man upstairs" twist near the end. It would have worked better as a frame story rather than a twist, but as it is, it's weird.
Now I'm hoping the third season of Ninjago to come to Latin America.

Yay! Ninjago season 3 (or 4 if you count the first two eps as season 1) is coming to LatAm beginning this Sunday!
