Crazy auction prices.

Post by wolforrest »

Is it me or is the world going crazy at the moment with auction prices.
this week alone I have witnessed the realised end sale prices of:

1. A German Space cruiser £12.50
2. A MOC Minesweeper £19.44

and on the flip

1. A loose boxed Hyena with Red Jackal £149
2. A loose boxed Roboskull with Red Wolf £157

I realise this is the beauty of an auction but to be

It's a lottery from week to week...the wrong or right place at the wrong or right time comes to mind!

That's unbelievable over the Sweeper, last one I saw was on UK eBay for £300 to £400! However, selling it on US eBay with no international visibility was a dumb idea! I wish I'd seen it!

Me too, never saw it :(
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Have the values for :scout:'s crashed since Mr Loon has gotten out of the market?

These days I tend not to bid @ all on items as I just know they're going to go completely out of my price range.

I wish I'd of had a pop on that lot, of 6 figures, which included :jammer: & :gaucho:, the sub £90 hammer price was a great bargain... then again you just don't know how high the winners maximum bid was & I'm never going to bankrupt myself over couple of old bits of plastic, no matter how much I'd like them.
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!

Adrian, I thought you had a MOC Sweeper? I'm thinking of selling mine but not for that price!
