Firefight's Friday Fancies
Re: Firefight's Friday Fancies
Good old Chop, taking one for team firefight.
So, did I miss anything good while I was absent? You missed me I bet; (go on admit it). Did anyone post something to rival the splendour of F.F.F.? No? That's what I thought. You poor chaps probably had to amuse yourselves with looking at a picture of Dark Horse's wood (I'm guessing). Don't worry I'll soon be back with all the big
snake action that you can handle and more.

Re: Firefight's Friday Fancies
Buenos dias hombres, I'm back with another fried slice of F.F.F. gold.
Now I've had some very positive feedback about F.F.F. but I've also had a few negative comments. For instance, a member here called Mr.Pringle said "Firefight, these Cobra customs of yours are very cool and all but when are we going to see the real treasures of your collection?" You know me, I'm not one to disappoint ("well that's debatable" said a jilted lover), so I have dug deep this week and have bagged you the bonafide classics.
I've had them for 24 hours and they are still mint-in-sealed packaging. Who say's I'm not a serious collector? You think meertoh could last that long?
Continuing with the theme of golden treasures and South America (for that is where potatoes originated), may I present to you el head honcho de Cobra- Quetzlacoatl: The Feathered Serpentor Now that's some nice headgear eh The Baron? Are you jealous "buckethead".
Recipe
head - Perseus (Clash Of The Titans)
upper legs - Tomax or Xamot '85
rest of body - Serpentor '86 His golden rod was made partially from his pet snake who was somewhat ironically called "Rod". You could mash a few potatoes (or heads) with that morning star weapon couldn't you?
So moving on from the number one Golden Wonder to the number two (some would say rather unkindly) Silver Scurf. It'ss Cobra Commander. Some people hate the fact that Baron Ironblood became Cobra Commander. It's a fact.. deal with it. At least he kept the sword.
(see my earlier
custom for this "joke" to work). -It still doesn't work?, sometimes they are not the real McCoy's.
assault (rifle) and sheik flavour?
Recipe
head - Cobra Commander '82-'83
torso - Crimson Guard '85
arms - Blades '83
waist & legs - Tomax or Xamot '85
I'm afraid
had to nick
's cloak because I couldn't nick
's cloak because none of you :wanker:s would[*] sell me one. ([*]it may have been couldn't but I'm leaning towards wouldn't );)
That's not a chip on his shoulder, it's a gold tassel thing.
So, from the big King Edward's to the ...well... small fries you could say. From the guys on top to the bottom feeders of the org.y(who put that y there?
) Well, at the very least these guys have all been inside the Baroness' brown box.
And (finally) with that filth so ends another F.F.F. I hope you enjoyed this crispy yet somewhat half baked selection. If your favourite flavour happens to be plane then you might want to check out next weeks episode...
ps. I kept that last sentence clue cryptic and intriguing enough didn't I?

Re: Firefight's Friday Fancies
Evening All. I've been a bit pushed for time recently so you could call todays edition a quick Flight Of Fancy I suppose, if it tickles your fancy. There are no mouth-watering shots of Walkers this week so instead you'll have to make do with Skywalkers..
It's gone and turned to the dark side of the Force -(well Cobra;- same kind of thing). If you don't like it you can sue me George, I mean Mickey.
Now, I think the X-Wing was loosely based on a real world F-18 jet or something (I could be wrong), and I have now turned it back into a (sort of) conventional aircraft. So I suppose you could say the circle is now complete.
These "jokes" will be the darth of me.
Another oscar nomination for the Dragonfly?-(see earlier F.F.F's for this reference as I am too fat and lazy a jabba to explain right now).
I've also used some Rattler missiles courtesy of (surprise, surprise) Our Graham_UK.
The power of the Force is making the X-wing levitate off the table. Oh you don't believe it. That is why you fail. (you know me, I don't sugarcoat it).
You might be surprised to hear (probably not) but the rather excellent Dragon Snake name wasn't the first I came up with for this jet. No. Originally I was going to call it the Cobra Banshee. I even got all Larry Hama-esque and started titty-f*cking laydies...I mean I wrote a back story and stuff for it. I took the time to write it so you might as well read it. It's the least you can do, plus it fills out this weeks F.F.F.
Aircraft - Z06 Banshee
Manufacturer - M.A.R.S.
Primary Role - Interceptor
Secondary Role - ground attack
Principal User - Cobra
"The aircraft was named the "Banshee" due to the very loud and almost eerie noise it produces when flying in x-wing mode. The distinctive sound or "wail" as it has become to be known is caused by air being forced across and through the wing surfaces. One night while reading a book on Celtic mythology, Destro likened it to how he would imagine a wailing Banshee of Irish folklore might sound. A very appropiate name as the wailing of a Banshee is meant to foretell the approach of a human death".
So there you go, don't have nightmares kids.
I also wrote this:
Aircraft features
Quad Skywalker turbofans
R2D2 advanced radar system
J.E.D.I. pilot interface system
x-wing "force attack" mode
Sabre air-to-air missiles
And that as they say is all she wrote. I won't be here next week, I'm completing my training but I hope to return as a Jedi master (of pussy) the following week. Until then, may the full force be with you.
..X-Wing Starfighter that is.

Re: Firefight's Friday Fancies
Great use of the X wing! Love loads of ordnance on the wings Must admit I have about 2 or 3 scrap ones without canopies lurking around and am still trying to think up a use for them. Although maybe R2 would have been better as a gun turret or something else?

Re: Firefight's Friday Fancies

May I suggest the addition of a couple of (long) missiles onto the top wing tip positions.
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!
