...and she's up!

Post by Thundershot »

Hi all,
During a visit to the R.A.F museum, last year, the tour guide told of plans to retrieve (and hopefully restore) an old W.W.II German bomber from the bottom of the English channel.

Good to hear that they've successfully salvaged the wreck

Looking forward to seeing it in the metal! Due to go back to Cosford in 2015, hopefully it will be ready by then!
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

It's great that in these days of cutbacks and austerity they've got the balls and the backing to start something like this.

It's privately funded, the RAF aren't paying. Both RAF museums are private enterprises, if they weren't then I'm fairly certain they would both be closed.
