Apparently it's Mitchell but I wouldn't be surprised if it's Khan.
I really liked the last one so I'm quite excited for this one.

It's worse that that ...
.... he's dead, Jim.
Oh well let's just put a rip in the fabric of space and time to let any old macguffin come screaming out of the closet ... or go screaming back into it.

I can't help but think that there is a distinct lack of original thought in Hollywood.

Looks good to me! I like the cute blonde in the blue uniform! And did I see Sundance flash up at the start of the trailer?
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?
Re: New Trek trailer....
I loved the Star Trek reboot. LOVED it. Can't wait for the new one.
On touching the trig point, I found my thrill
To the east Brokeback Mountain, to the west, Benny Hill
I'll give you the grid ref, you might like to go

Yep, I put aside all my preconceptions & really enjoyed the first one...I thought it fun, done in good spirit to the original & the actors seemed to be enjoying the whole experience.
The trailer makes this film look too dark for my tastes & the massive destruction on a global scale special effects just look like every other blockbuster movie of the past few years.

More news, as its made, from new Action Force!

Also agree, Ed. I really wanted to see something a little cerebral in the last one, there was none of it. Which isn't what Trek is about. Its just another hollywood blockbuster. The only thing I liked was Karl Urban. I really hope they step up but I don't think Abrams has the ability to do that.

Re: New Trek trailer....
Saw Star Trek Into Darkness yesterday in IMAX 3D and it is absolutely stunning to look at. JJ Abrams knows how to use IMAX to it's maximum. Such a pretty a film.
As for the story and the film itself, if you didn't like the first one you'll probably hate this one and if you loved the first one you'll probably love this one.
Cumberbatch is fantastic and out-acts and out fights all the others.
The detail in the production and costume design is amazing.
Also if you see the film at an Odeon and buy any large combo meal you get a free Star Trek insignia badge
