I was shocked recently that writer/editor Roger Slifer had been in an hit and run accident last year and as of February this year was waiting for surgery. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Slifer

I had no idea who he was but that's bad times indeed for him. He created Lobo so he's cool in my book.
