SPOILERS...

1. Duke, Zartan and Firefly all dead... Puzzling.
Duke will never see the Baroness recover, so it would have been nice if "Magic Mike" was just put out of commission for the film -- imprisoned by the POTUS or something.
Firefly deserved it for the killing of the Joes, sure, but so does Storm Shadow in ROC.
Zartan will never run the Dreadnoks now in this reality. That's a missed opportunity imho.

2. Destro totally forgotten? Why? "Screw you, Destro." I don't get it. CC had him totally under control. He would have made a great sychophant to stoke the Commander's ego, if nothing else...

3. No explanation for Storm Shadow's miraculous "recovery" after being sliced and frozen by Snake-Eyes in ROC. Why was he considered on the "wanted list". Wouldn't he be considered KIA in the first film? I sure wouldn't be looking for him if I were in charge of military intelligence.

4. Lady Jaye's real Christian name is "Jaye"? Why the change? Loved it that Colton always called her "Brenda". Some sort of inside joke?

5. Where are the original Joes? Dead? Retired? Duke replaced Hawk at some point. Are we talking years here between the two films, or just months? Would have been nice to know if Hawk, Scarlett, Breaker, Heavy Duty and Ripcord were reassigned or something. That was pretty vague.

6. Roadblock mentions serving on the team for 6 years alongside Snake-Eyes, so we have to assume that the two were there from the beginning, perhaps before ROC ever happened.

7. Flint really should have wore his beret at least once! I mean, c'mon!!! Throw us old schoolers a bone, man!

IT WAS AT THAT POINT THAT PRIVATE JENSEN UNDERSTOOD WHY THEY NEEDED A SECRET CODE-WORD BEFORE OPENING THE FRONT DOOR...

More Spoilers

1. Duke may be OK, Zartan may recover with the aid of the nanobots. Firefly? WTF, best bad guy of the lot. Damn shame about that, I was hoping we'd see him blow more sh*t up.
2. Destro is just on ice, he'll be back and it can easily be another actor now.
3. He's a Ninja, so that's OK.
4. Odd.
5. I guess they'll be back in three and I predict Cobra Island. That would be bloody awesome.
6. I guess so, but Flint should have been the boss. He is an LT, Dammit.
7. Amen to that.
8. Wolverine vs HISS. f*cking AWESOME!!!!
9. My son loved the Ninjas on the cliff. ;-)

All good questions, if its of interest Jon Chu did kind answer some of them when I interviewed him a couple of weeks ago, if you've not listened to it, click through and have a look, some interesting perspectives made like looking at the code names as a rank, meaning others can fill the boots etc:

Just got back from the cinema. Definitely worth a watch, 3D was really good in the big scenes, some glaring plot holes (Storm shadow recovering from being stabbed through the heart.... He got better:-) but a worthy film that is waaay better than the first.

Agreed.

I also wonder why Firefly and Storm shadow keep ripping their masks off? Sorta defeats the purpose and as soon as the UN guy saw Storm Shadows face he knew who he was anyway. Weird.

I think it was so we could see the actors faces rather than a stunt double! keeps it all real.
