What Happened to the Colouring project?

Post by CAPT. GRID-IRON »

We have been sorely missing the weekly colouring project offerings over at the lair, is it still going? I have received a lot of messages wanting to know where it went.

Yeah, I'm really sorry about this - our Snow Job colourist bailed mid-strip. He's not responding to e-mails any more. :(

I was supposed to be doing Operation Claymore but life tipped a bucketload of crazy on me this year and I've not had time. But really, we ran out of contributors.

The other spanner in the works is that I was inspired to reorganise the proposed book layouts, there were criticisms about stories not being in read-order and the double-page spreads being shrunk to half size. I did plot a new layout, but numerous other 10th anniversray projects took precedence. it also ruined my planned release order.

I'm also planning to look at colour removal from the original colour plates when and if I get the time. And there are several strips that frankly need to be redone.

For now I need to focus on the Roll Out Roll Call 4 convention and BFTB Palitoy Collectors Guide book. I must admit I've let this slide, I do have unreleased strips I can throw out there as a stopgap but the whole thing needs to be addressed.

I am sorry this happened, the project is not dead, just on the back burner for the moment. By way of consolation I can offer the Lair our daily Rising Sun web-comics!

Baron I did try to download Photoshop again so I could contribute but for whatever reason I had insufficient memory space so it wasn't to be.
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

If it is not too much trouble we would be thrilled to have the Rising Sun web comics, i will make a forum especially for you to share them in. Thanks so much for the update, everyone will be glad to know what the latest is on the colouring project and that it is still going albeit on a little hiatus right now.

I'll see what I can do. The plan is to upload them to the forum as daily attachments, then once each issue is completed, add them to the main archive. It would probably be easier for me to post the pages monthly on the Lair.

I can help out on the colouring project again, got my life a bit more organized now and actually have a little bit of spare time now. Really enjoyed colouring the Tracker story I did ages ago.

I was wondering what had happened been working on Hawks Challenge - hope to see the return of the weekly updates when possible.
