New Doctor Who 3 3/4" toys

Post by Malcolm Orr »

Not sure if you guys know this yet, but Character Options are changing the scale of the Dr Who toys to 3 3/4" (for the new series collection). There will be figures and interlocking playsets. I'm not sure how suitable the playsets would be for AF/Joes, but the new 3 3/4" Cybermen look great, and who could resist Space Force vs a 3 3/4" Dalek???

Suddenly I'm interested in Doctor Who...! I like the look of those 3 3/4" figures. I can imagine some rather nifty photos popping up from young Mr Thundershot if he were to purchase some of those Daleks..!

Wow they're really good. The likeness of the new companion is brilliant and I love the cardboard backdrops.

The Dalek & Cyberman are on top of my list.

As much as I'd like to see all the 3 3/4" figures of all the Daleks & Cybermen designs from the shows history..fingers crossed...I'm kind of hoping they don't as it's going to bankrupt me.

My co-worker Phill Hosking did the cardboard playsets, and I sculpted the Dalek flight platform! There would have been an 11th Doctor figure on the stand, but Character lost it in the post from the Far East! FAIL!

Cool, it will make them a little easier to store and collect too as the carded ones are sooo bulky especially the very first releases.

Man... I've loved those flight platforms from the first time I saw 'em, in an old 70's Dalek Annual, they just look way 8)

I'd sort of thought they'd be a bit redundant now wot with these modern flying Daleks 'n' all, so it's a pleasure to see one show up in toy form.

Yeah, we were a little surprised to get the brief on it, what with the modern daleks being
Flight capable. The great thing is it's digital data, so it could be rescaled to fit the 5 inch figures!

These new figures are now in my local Toysrus.

I gotta say that they're nicely done & I reckon the cardboard playsets, especially the submarine, would work well with :AFLogo:.
