python phantom x-19

Post by Wild Weasel »

First off, I promise the next custom will be something action force related ;)

This one is so far my favorite python custom(by far). The pics don't really do it justice

That really is top notch. :)
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Cool!! But I think the "non-pythonized" canopy and wings will sound the Joe-alarm if it tries to fly into enemy airspace ;)

D'oh! I...I...I...didn't want to be too redundant being that it was a stealth design to begin with; yeah; that's what it was ;)

Excellent work!

But didn't you do one in 2008 already? Is this the same one or another one?

it's all in the paint, to keep it as close to factory as possible.
I know I've said I'd put up a tutorial, but my schedule has been crazy lately, but I should have quite a bit of time soon, so I'll eventually do it.

That was my buddy Aaron
This is my first X-19, but Aaron(who goes by python viper) and I have done many overlapping python patrol customs. He's has done 3 x-19's so far, as well as the flagg, terrordrome, moray etc., etc, but we both have different styles. He used to use mesh jersey's for his pattern, which can leave a lot of overspray and is difficult to work with, so he switched to using thin masking tape, which leaves a really cool looking pattern(I like it better than the Hasbro paint mask). He also tends to give a more dark side look to his python patrol vehicles, by using gold, whereas I like them to have alot of pop, so I add a lot of silver and yellow accents. One day we need to get together and make a big ass python patrol army like we've talked about a few times...perhaps at joecon?
