Over the years I’ve been commissioned to do some fully painted and decaled heads for various folks. When I’m doing some I usually knock out a few spares, so thought I’d offer some up for sale here. Various different styles.
First off – some ball jointed RAH era ones.
These can be a tiny bit loose as sometimes the sculpts of the balls vary, but if they are loose when you put them on they just need a tiny bit say modelling clay in the ‘cup’ of the torso to make them a tight fit.
First ones are finished in Blood Red (good match for a traditional Shad) with a gloss lacquer:-
This one is the same as the above ones but painted to match a Crimson Guard. The head itself has a slight imperfection on the helmet lip (this gets harder and harder to not crack rude jokes! Hold on – “harder” and “crack” in the same sentence??? No, it’s no good, I can’t not make jokes…..
Ahem, anyway, finished in a gloss lacquer. Picture is only to show what they look like on a CG for the colour match etc. Worth pointing out that the one on the CG is a Matt finish too – but if you wanted this one I can soon Matt it over for you?
Next, I’ve been squeezing me Blackheads….
These two are cut especially to fit onto the ROC Snake eyes, as you can see in the pics (sorry about the dust!). The walls on them are pretty thin, so they fit nicely, but the neck needs cutting down with a craft knife off the donor figure.
Please also note – again, these are finished in Gloss, but the ones shown on the figure are Matted down. As above – let me know if you want them Matt or are happy for them to be left Gloss?
Now, two undremmelled ones. One looks a bit squished compared to the other? Best one looks to be the one numbered “1” in the pic names. Extreme close ups coupled with camera flash make them look a lot less well finished than they actually are – especially where the paint meets the decals. In the hand they’re a lot tidier looking.
Anyway, these are undremmelled, so up to you if you wanted to tackle a bit of dremmelling, or simply cut the neck off your donor figure?
Now – the nicest looking ones – the red, 25th ones. Six of these in total – the one third in from the left looks well squished but it’s not – it’s the reflections of the others playing havoc with it I think!
These are dremelled really thin to the side walls so fit directly onto the necks of figures like the Neo Vipers etc. All figures necks are different though, so a lot depends on the figure you are putting them onto. As I say – fit directly onto the likes of Neo Vipers, but others, like Arctic Vipers, the hoods at the back can get in the way meaning they need further modifications. I would say though – DON’T FORCE THEM ON! They are cut so thin they will split at the sides if you try to force them!
All fully finished heads
£3 each! First come first served! (see – I’m a market trader at heart! “Three for a pound your gas lighterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrsssssssssssss. Three for a pound….”
