Supersonic Skydiver

Post by Thundershot »

Morning,

Did anyone watch that Felix Baumgartner guy jump from 24 miles up in the sky & break the sound barrier in free-fall?

Absolutely fantastic, edge of the seat viewing...I'd imagine it was a bit like the experience folks would of had watching the Apollo moon shots taking off back in the 60's.

It was truly amazing wasn't it! A bit scary when he started spinning though!

Imagine how good he will feel about himself this morning when people say "what did you get up to at the weekend" and he gets to answer "24 miles then I jumped out!"

I've just seen him being interviewed, & seen the footage from the video footage from his camera...what a fantastic view of the Earth!

I must admit to half hoping they'd be a couple of seconds, Wile E Coyote style, cartoon suspended in mid air before he fell to Earth moment when he stepped off the platform.
