My name is Steve, and I'm 30.
I collected Action Force when I was young, and between me and my brother, had everything released between '84 and '89. I then got into Warhammer, and gave my whole collection away! (I will never get over that).
Earlier this year, I saw some GI Joe figures in a toy store while out with my son, and bought a couple. A couple then led into the whole wave, then I checked Ebay, and the net, and now have everything released from 2000 to present!
I'm currently working on setting up a web site, where I will show my collection off, and some dio-stories I'm working on.

I'm Rob, 32 from Cornwall. I'm a lecturer in engineering at Cornwall College (biggest in the College in the country, plug, plug).
My interest was fostered by being given a number of the figures as a kid. In particular my Gran would be give me three or four for birthday and Christmas presents. I had most of the figures at one time or another, but become more swayed by the Star Wars line as I got older and lost interest in the AF line.
My interest was renewed when I came across my old collection in the attic, and I decided to start collecting them again. My aim is to have one of each figure, both loose and carded, along with an example of each of the vehicles.

My other action figure is a gonk droid.
Just discovered this, and brought back loads of happy memories. My name's Al, I'm 30, and collected some of the original figures, and from the Z-Force era. I had a wee Z-Force army and teamed up with my mate's SAS Force team to defeat (always a foregone conclusion) his wee brother's Enemy. The Z-Force tank was the best Christmas present I ever got.
I really enjoyed getting Battle Action Force every week - actually learned quite a lot (particularly about South American geography - Operation Bloodhound) from it. Continued to get it for a while into the Cobra era, but gradually got fed up of it. Never liked the guy Gung-Ho. Possibly I was just getting older though. Don't know what the wife will say if I go back to my mum & dad's loft and dust off the old cardboard command centre!
Really laughed reading a post about someone's favourite figure being the Z-Force radio operator because he could wear his hat backwards. Used to do that all the time!
Great effort getting all this online. Cheers

hello i'm andy,
i've just got a computer and wish i'd got one sooner when i found this site. much to my wifes disgust i am not the only actionman/force fanatic out there.
as i'm new and this seems to be the thing to do i'll introduce myself..........i live in kent and my job is sometimes very intense and sometims very boring and involves me carrying the same weapon as EAGLE so this is pure escapism for me. i collected actionman/force as a kid with a passion. it all started when there was a free figure on the front of BAF. i got Q FORCE AQUA TROOPER my brother got Z FORCE RADIO OP. does anyone remember that offer. i was interested in other comic mentions from other posts as 2000AD and BAF defined my childhood. i still have them all.
after that my brother and i ammassed the whole range with only Z FORCE MINE SWEEPER missing. we were helped by a mail away offer that netted us 50 figures. i can't remember on what product the tokens were collected but we sent them of with a cheque for pandp and never heard a thing back. my mum wrote to them and days later 50 figures arrived. these were mainly Q, SPACE and ENEMY. this was about the time the range was being superceded by HASBRO.
the last figure i bought as a kid was RIPCORD off a market stall for 50p. i still have him. all my other figures were sold at boot sales and to a kid who came round my house when my mum put an ad in the local paper (what was she thinking) he bought the lot. i managed to save SAS DIVER and all his kit, the boat with kit from SAS BOAT PATROL and DESTRO with his kit.
now i've found ebay i am re living my youth. i only buy loose as i like to handle and pose the figures. if i bid against you sorry, please feel free to bid against me. my funds are small so you'll probably beat me.
i'd love to talk to anyone with similar interests, if its military and miniture i collect it, toy soldiers, models AF anything.

Well I thought that I'd add to this and let you know who I am as I've been using this site for a little while now, and have dealt with a few of the members through ebay.
Everyone calls me Peps which is a nickname shortened from my surname which everyone called me when I was in the army
. It stuck well as the wife calls me Peps too, infact the only time I seem to use my given name is when I go up to Rugby where I was born to see my family.
I now live and work in Southampton, after being posted down here and then leaving the army.
I have recently got back into collecting action force when I had a study built at home and it was the only room I was allowed to decorate. So amongst other stuff that I have out I now have shelf dedicated to my up and growing action force collection. which I have stuck to series two figures I'm half way through my carded collection and ive got a small loose army of enemy
and z force
building up.
Its great being 11 again.
