One way is to search for similar Jawa figures and go by that, also have a look at the completed listings.
I`ve seen a couple with repro capes at around the £200 mark!
Best to ask our Paul on here, he seems to be the fountain of all Star Wars knowledge.

Cheers Andy! I am, indeed, a fountain!

Jen, if the figure is in good condition [no paint ware, cape damage], you really MUST send it to the AFA in the US.

It could mean the difference between £50 and £500 quid.

As long as you send it registered mail, insured, requiring a signature then it will be no problem at all.

AFA are massively repitable, they won't rip you off and it will mean that buyers will fork out huge sums of money as your figure will be guaranteed as the real deal.

See this one:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Star-Wars-Vintage ... 286.c0.m14

All it takes is a quick look at their website and a quick trip to the post office.

If you sell it as it is - no matter how honest you may be - buyers won't trust you and won't fork out £400 quid on your figure. Ebay is littered with hundreds of fakes every year, all of them 'found up in their grannies loft after 20 years' and they are all copy repro capes.

To me, its a no-brainer. You have to send it off, or you'll probably lose hundreds selling it on ebay. And then the guy that wins it will probably send it off himself and make a few hundred quid.

Bloody hell!! that's unbelievable!! I'm still learning about all of these things but if it were me (yup a tight Scotsman!) I would get it graded! What a huge difference!
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Here's a link to Jen's auctions, what a treasure trove!

Jen, I advse adding ATC and APC (US name) to the Z Force armoured troop carrier auction, that'll get you more search engine hits.

I agree with Paul. I have sent figures off to AFA in the past and they have been very good and easy to deal with.

Jen - check out their website at www.toygrader.com as they have a list of FAQ as well as online submission system which makes things really easy.

I will look out for the Jawa when he is listed!
