Re: Roll Call
Hello everyone out there in t'interweb-land
First off apologies, I registered here sometime last year, but this is my first post. Somehow never got round to it. However I did sign the Save the Red Shadows online thingy last summer, so I did get something right!
I used to have a ruck load of Action Force toys as a kid, and though my childhood collection sadly bit the dust due to being stored in a cr*ppy old shed, I have amassed a nice little collection over recent years and I'm currently collecting the recently revived GI Joe 3 & 3/4 inch figures that Hasbro are producing to mark the 25th anniversary of the old line.
However I must hold up my hand and admit that due to my age (35) my first love was/is Star Wars (feel free to pelt me with eggs). That said it was always the military/army aspects of SW that appealed to me, as I'm no lover of sci-fi generally.
Loved the Battle Action Force comics as a kid, and even though I was nearly finished secondary school at the time I used to buy the Marvel UK Action Force comic on the quiet (I even bought Flint and a few others from Toy'n'Hobby but had to hide them/buying toys was my secret shame back then.)
I'll try to post more regular I promise.
Thanks for having me here
Cheers

Re: Roll Call!...Where's Everyone From?
hi everyone
i'm Bart, 33, from pittsburgh PA across the pond in the USA
i have to admit i dont know squat about the UK joes and stuff but i am trying to learn. the only stuf i have ever really read was the "gi joe european missions".
i had read some things here and there over the years but never really got into it much till my bud jamar had me color some pages of the b&w stuff.
now i am trying to learn what i can when i can. i skim these boards at times and i have to say your a fun lot!

Re: Roll Call!...Where's Everyone From?
Hey, Bart! Thanks for doing the coloring! I'm also from the USA (Granite Bay, California). I'm pretty new to Action Force, myself, and Im looking forward to reading the AF book. Right now you'll find me mainly in the Action Man section.
LET'S GET EXTREME!!!
Re: Roll Call!...Where's Everyone From?
i had a blast doing the coloring. i only wish i had better software and more time to do them when i did. i work on average 10-15 hrs a day 6 days a week for my job so there was many late nights i spent working on those pages. tried to get them done as fast as i could and not look like a 2 yr old colored them lol i had wanted to get into alot more detail, but i did manage to slip a few easter eggs in there heheheee
i'm getting deployed at the end of the month for military reserve duty for about 7 months. i hope to get some kinda internet connection while i am gone and do some more pages. i color b&w pics mostly for me by hand. doing them on the pc is kinda different for me but was a fun challange, plus the overall result is well worth it. sssooooo nice to see them all colored and bound in print. cant wait to get my book!
