The Talent Roster

Information Provided by : Ken Davis - Story board Artist for the series[/b]
Image

Director Chris Bartleman
Lead character Designer: Rob Davies
Lead prop designers,: Olaf Miller, Trevor Lowery
Storyboard artist: Ken Davis and Mauro Casalese were the two lead 'board artists and together they did 2/3rds of the series storyboards. Ken Davis was the first hired and he nudged Chris Bartelman to hire Mauro who was a fellow 12" figure collector like Ken--and both of them collected Action Man. It was a bit of kismet as Chris was concerned that no-one on the production knew who Action Man was--and he was relieved to find two actual collectors to actually guide the series itself.

Ken Davis also provided designs for some of the props, notably the World HQ building, the team Jeep ( based exactly on the GIJOE RHINO Jeep from the 12" HOF era, and Ken Davis used the actual toy itself for the designs) and AM's Multi-gun.

Hi jamermiller,
Sorry I had lost timing to reply to you in other topic.
Please sent me PM when you coming Tokyo.

BTW, why did not you list the Action Man CGI 2000 series?
I love the series very much.

no problem will let you know

as for why no 200 CGi series, its out of continuity of all other series, its a totally different action man , theres just no way for it to fit in with the other series and was never intended too.

and personally I hated that series as it went off on its own continuity and didnt continue what came before

Oh, I see...
I have not seen former 2D animation series.
So I could accept the world of 3D CGI series easily.
Like just Max Steel CGI series at same timing.

that max steel CGI series was definately what ACTION MAN should have been it was much much better than the CGI action man series. I remember watching it at the time and being depresed that Action Man was done so poorly and that Max steel was done so well and so much better

Well, I overall liked the CGI series, except for Gangrene not being adressed as "Professor". The series had good parts, but it would have been better if it would have been linked to the previous AM series. I mean, why can't Alex Mann be the alias AM took to have a normal life and, as a man of action, the job he's better in is extreme sports? Well, every possible link was ruined by AM not knowing who Dr X was.

Max Steel was a good series. It was light-hearted enough to be seen by kids and adult enough to grown-up fans. That's my favourite type of series (I haven't stomach for too mature series, I even play Mortal Kombat with the Fatalities disabled)

I watched a few episodes & they weren't too bad.I had hoped Hasbro would've released Action Man as a 3 3/4 line with single figures & vehicles but NO!!!! If he'd been available as a 3 3/4 I feel AM would've been popular 8-)
