It was a gripping story, remember it built up towards Christmas, I kept worrying if SAS would get out of trouble and warn the world that the Red Shadows had taken over. Then when the paratroops arrive, priceless. I got caught reading the finale to Claymore in Chemistry class as I was so hyped for the ending I went to the newsagent before school rather than after like I normally did.

The SAS's finest hour IMO

I'd love to help out, sadly the only computer I have access to is at work (hence why all my posts are between 7:30 and 16:00 GMT).

While I sneek in the odd few moments on t'interweb when things are quiet or on my lunch/break, I think I'd struggle to get away with a little side project.

This also exdplains why my spelling and grammar are so awful, as I have to type in arush and have no chance to check my typing before I submit.

LOL being a bit too honest here

LOL okay but I keep wondering how big that poster is, coz I work with maps all the time I have access to a plotter printer that prints up to A0, I'm really tempted to come into work early one morning and print off a huge copy and take it home, really shouldn't but I'm sorely tempted

Are you actually Baron Ironblood? It's the only logical explanation as to how you were able to answer my question so quickly. Thanks so much! Looking at that scan, I'm back in my bedroom, plotting a midnight heist on the local toyshop. Action Force really was like crack to all of us excitable youngsters, wasn't it? And you, sir, have just given me a massive hit. I remember I would have broken every law of the land to be able to put a tick in each of the little yellow boxes. I think I even went as far as putting a '?' next to the figures I wanted most.

I found this site after googling for the AF comics. I was initially disappointed and surprised to see all the GI Joe stuff out there. Damn yanks. No sense of style. About the British comics; it looks like the same IPC staffers worked on them as worked on 'Scream' - another vice of mine. The art still looks amazing.

I had a quick scan through some of the other topics and came across the reply from the lady who worked in Palitoy. What a cool little glimpse behind the curtain. Did she ever post again?

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Welcome on board sadakos_fury!

Although I registered here back in October last year, I didn't start posting til this week. I got directed here by jamarmiller, as I used to post on Joe Sightings (I think jamarmiller must post on every Joe site!).

A lot of the GI Joe stuff is pretty good, but I agree Action Force is better, sadly however GI Joe is all we've got when it comes to current toys and comics.

The folks from Palitoy were really good, they gave great customer service, something Hasbro UK could learn from!

If the Baron really is Baron Ironblood then maybe he'll sign us up for Red Shadow training camp or something.

pocoyo_joe wrote:Wow I remember that poster! I too had it on my wall as a kid *sigh* I had a thing for Quarrel as a kid too, I always imagined Glynis Barber of "Dempsey & Makepeace" playing Quarrel, she was something back then (not bad now too considering).
I always had a thing for Glynis Barber, both in D&M and Blake's 7 (preferred Servalan, though. YUM!) Good call on her as Quarrel.
Come have a look at some of my custom action figures:
