Don't say that, I'll be tempted again. Fingers in my ears lalalalalalalalalalalaSteveD wrote:I think they may be cheap in toys r us again odb. I think they were about £60 in the meadowhall one when I w as there. I was tempted. I like the huge tank! Would look awesome in red, and would squash the atc!ODB wrote:The AT-TE is a good buy too, they were £50 over here at one point but I missed out on that bargain. My biggest grip with the new Falcon is its too big for most people to 'fly' round the room which as a kid I did with my vintage Falcon all the time.

I forgot about this pic, amongst others. It's not wise to upset a Wookie........'

I duuno, you and your vintage stuff, Ed.
The new one actually glows blue when you hit a button and it does say the whole wookie/c3-p0 argument too. Pretty cool. My favourite part of the new one is the door, which lowers, makes the noises and has 2 lights light up either side, like in TESB.
I will look for a vintage one but not till the collection of SW is near complete. Which will be years away.
PS gotta get me a Threepio, that looks cool man.

Aye, as children we had to use to use our imagination for all the special light & sound effects...kids just don't know thier born these days, wot with all this fancy micro chip rubbish.
B.T.W, do young kids still make thier own special sound effects when they play with toys, such as revving engine noise & machine gun fire, like we used too?
Reproducing the sound of a Spitfire, as you ran like a mad man, with a Airfix aeroplane around the garden, was an essential part of growing up...being able to press a button to produce an authentic Merlin engine sound just doesn't seem half as creative (or fun).

My nephew and I do when we are playing with his cars and his helicopters (wocca wocca). Also big booms with mid air collisions too!Thundershot wrote:

When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

He only has a few Joes and I gave him a couple of Action Men, we play with them occasionally but he's mostly a Star Wars and Ben 10 kid. Lately its been Tech Decks. That's the damn school influence.
