Predators
really looking forward to the new Predators flick.
hopin to get to see this next week but-
does anyone know if there will be toys for the new movie???
from what i've seen of the previews looks like a great cast of baddies but i've wanted a 3 3/4 predator fig for forever. anyone heard anything???
i've been workin on an idea for a joe sized Pred for ages, bought some of the smaller scale mcfarlane figs to toy with but these are more like statues than toys

Re: Predators
Tri-Gate has done a head bill but you might miss pre-orders unless you are quick enough. I talked to Sector_12 about doing a custom maybe using War Machine's body his shoulder cannon would be great to use.
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

Re: Predators
I'm genuinely looking forward to this film.
If it's as good as it looks then I think we can quietly push the Danny Glover effort to one side and say this is the true sequal.
Nothing against Danny Glover, I think he is a fine actor, it was just not the right film.
A 3 3/4 Predator is a great idea! Just thinking, they did a Thugee as part of the Indiana Jones figures in that scale, would the bare arms and torso be useful in a Predator custom? Or would that be more appropriate for Dutch?

i've given the predator fig a lot of thought.
considered using various joes but they're just not big enough.
the mcfarlane figs i got are a perfect scale, they're from the AVP range but have very limited movement. thinkin about trying to dremmel out the arms and legs and usin joe joints but its a big job and i havent the time or patience to attempt it.
tri gate have some nice torsos which would do the job and the head looks cool. be nice to have a masked head with removable mask.
i have the female pred torso from tri gate which i plan to use for machiko naguchi?? from the AVP comic. want to make a broken tusk pred to accompany her. too many ideas not enough time

Re: Predators

This is by Neca. Never got any answers on their scale though. I figure there probably 5".

Re: Predators
A member on JoeCustoms used an Titanium Man body with "Green Stuff" Bill which looks good. Shadow it would be good to compare a Joe to one of those Predators usually Predators are meant to be taller than humans at least 7'. Using RoC figures they are about 4" tall so the Predator would only be slightly taller.
Here is the above mentioned custom not sure where he got the head from.
