it has been an interesting period, there are and will always be nasty little people out there that have no morals, but you can't let these f*ckers stop you from doing what you want to do, why should you stop doing something because of some retard that thinks he's funny. i certainly wouldn't.Thundershot wrote:It's been a bit of a bad time for a lot of us here recently what with one thing & another, ain't it?
I know this isn't as serious as some of things others here are going though in life, but it really is small things like this that really knock my faith in human nature.

Yeah, you're both right...don't let the f*ckers get to ya.
It just feels so 'personal' to me, probably sounds stupid..but it's not so much the car itself, but what it represents to me personally.. you know?
Yes, @ the end of the day I know it's only a machine for getting to from A to b...but as the old Ford advert says "It's the car that you always promised your (my)self", a long held ambition to own a small sports car fulfilled, years of dreaming, scrimping & saving, freedom to go any where I choose when I choose & all that...
thank God they didn't key the whole side or any worse damage.
Guess I'll just have to be more careful where I park in future, I'll drop by the police station as well & report it to the authorities too.

Re: Not very happy!!!
Thats sh*t. I had someone reverse into my car in a carpark and leave a scuff on the rear bumper. The police weren't even interested and refused to record it. So now I have a painted patch on the rear bumper as it would require a complete respray of the bumper, even then its not guaranteed to match the colour of the rest of the car.

keying a car's criminal damage, you should report it, even if no one gets caught...
Re: Not very happy!!!
ODB it's too late now but the police were obliged to record it and provide you with an incident number, but too often if the cop is lazy then they will cuff the job - simply 'cos they can't be arsed to spend 5 minutes filling out and faxing a crime report, or worse because they don't want an unsolved crime recorded against their collar number.
The rules were changed years ago for completeness of crime recording and the control room inspector is supposed to be hot on things like that, but like every system there are lapses. It pisses me off because the police are a service for all, yet it's a tiny few that get the attention as victims and offenders - often a heavily overlapping group at that.

Re: Not very happy!!!
As always, it seems that the victims of crime are the ones who suffer...just look @ the Boss' crash, he's the one who got hit, & yet he has to provide M.O.T. & other details to to the authorities to prove the car he was driving is all legal & above board. I know procedures have to be gone though but it does all get ridiculous @ times.

Sorry to hear this mate. I hope it doesn't cost to much to get fixed.
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?
