Red Shadow Ice Dagger on Joe Canuck
Re: Red Shadow Ice Dagger on Joe Canuck
A big thank you to Sundance for posting the above link, but I decided to take his advise so here is the Shadow Hyena Dagger linked to above.

I had wanted to do something with the Shadows for a while and when I saw the Ice Dagger on sale, and had the idea of making a non HISS based, Hyena update, I went for it.
I hope you guys like the result. Once I figure out what I want for a 25th Jackal, and put it together, I'll update the images.

Thank you Baron.
Not at this time, as my personal camera isn't that good. However I do plan on borrowing a friends to take some better shots later.
I'd be honoured to submit those once they are taken for the archives.

Very nice! The Ice Dagger is one of my favourite ROC vehicles. Think it would also look great in black as a SAS vehicle.
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

I like this a lot! Nice attention to detail and I still want that figure to customise myself!
Oh, and welcome aboard Editor! Good to see you here!

Re: Red Shadow Ice Dagger on Joe Canuck
Thanks for the welcome guys. And a quick update.
I have basically finished a what I will be using for Jackal, and I'm just waiting for a figure order to come in with the guys I'll be using as his unit/crew to man the Hyena Dagger.
One they are in hand, and modded, (just requires a few head/part swaps) I'll be getting the better quality shots done up, and posted.

As far the skis go..... well.....
While I'm sure if in the hands of one with greater skills than my own it could be possible, I didn't wish to try to change them.
The skis are held on by snapping into the front axle which can't be removed without possibly damaging the connector. I didn't want to risk breaking these.
Also the axle itself is located quite low to the ground making a need for any replacements to stickout quite a bit further than the skis if turning is still desired or jacking up the front end which would also require a large alteration to the back end.
The Axle itself is connected by a sliding spring assembly. Sadly this is the only picture I have on hand:

To separate the axle from the lower chassis a very tightly wound spring needs to be removed. I do not have the tools or skills that would allow me to remove and/or reattach this piece.
All these factors led me to just leave it as is. Ideal no, but I can live with it.
