Belive it or not, whilst walking from the car boot sale to my car (which was parked in a side street, as I begrudge paying 20p for parking) carrying that grey Star Wars blaster, a passing Police car drove past turned around & the copper got out to check if it was a real fire arm or a toy I was so carelessly waving about in public.

I'd believe it. Not every cop has half a brain.

I love the photo, I could almost imagine a chalk out line of a Stormtrooper drawn on the pavement beside it.

I know in the US that the 501ST (the people who dress up as stormtroopers) do not carry their blasters out in the street or public places as they are likely to get arrested.

Does that rule extend to 'not carrying Light Sabers in public' too I wonder?
Funny thing was, as I had these guns spread out on the back lawn, a pair of Apache helicopters flew over the house...I'm glad they didn't have the same reaction as the local constabulary did

Re: Loft Clearance begins..
That reminds me, the weekend saw the Biggin Hill airshow and since I'm not that far from it the house got buzzed by two Eurofighters at speed and no sooner was I watching them disappear into the distance than I got buzzed from behind by the Red Arrows. They were really low and really shifting, there must of been nine of them is the arrowhead formation. Its not everyday that you get to see them that close.

Thats must of been a great sight to see OBD, do you visit the show when it's on?
We mainly get buzzed by Harriers flying low from R.A.F Whittering here, Euro-fighters ( & U.S.A.F F15's) tend to stay high up & can often be seen in practice dogfights amazingly loud aircraft & spectacular to watch pulling tight turns.
The battle of Britain flight can often be seen during the summer too, flying over to Duxford or London for events.
For many years A10 Tank Busters where based in this area (I'm in the Fens), & would use Tractors & other large farm vehicles as 'imaginary' enemy ground targets, damn then things could turn on a dime & thier engines made a most unholy noise.
