SAS Force Raven (Stealth Helicopter)

Here's another vehicle customisation that I've been working on. As I said in another post, it didn't take much work though (so no before images, just after!). Just a few stickers stolen from broken SAS vehicles that I picked up on Ebay. I'd actually painted more than the 'flashing light' on top yellow, but it just didn't look right, so I stripped the paint back off. Now in all-black it looks like a stealthy bird, hence the name - Raven. No need for a new figure or character, since Chopper has been patiently waiting 20 years for this moment...............

And from the top.......

And a close up of the centre (notice the very small SAS Force sticker)

And the happy pilot (I put a spare vest on a spare Sparrowhawk figure and made him the nameless co-pilot who will probably die in some part of a story)......

There we go then. It might need a few more misceallanous stickers on the inside (first aid kit, 'DANGER', that sort of thing), but the black looks just right. The figures don't sit in very well when it moves, but, as with everything in life, a bit of blu-tac soon sorts that out! Special thanks to Steel Bonnet for posting the link for Benjamin Toys where I bought it (the last one they had apparently).

That`s nice mate as it`s subtle stuff to mark it as AF SAS Force.
Not overly plastered,so I like this a lot.
Seen AF ones of the PTE Helo in the past & as said as it`s already Black makes life easier doesn`t it
Great work

Lovely job, I reckon yellow tips to the rotor blades would be a nice touch.

Looks like the BHawk works pretty well with

figures!
Some rocket pods for those hot LZ's and other red-laser-hot exterminator-threatened exfils would be handy.
Meantime jimbo, where the hell did you get the M16A2???

(M16-less)

It came with the helicopter. For once the weapons with these playsets are realistically scaled. The only problem with this particular brand is that they are very soft plastic and packaged badly, so both weapons I got were bent badly. I've straightened them a bit, but they really need heating to make them softer and held in position until they are cool to regain their original shape. I might try hot water, although I read somewhere about using a hair-dryer.
I forgot to point it out in my original post as at the time I thought you of all people would appreciate Quickfire with his defining weapon from that classic image in Operation Bloodhound!

The chopper looks really cool, nice size and all. It does seem a pity that such a nice looking vehicle could be sent out with such badly packaged weopons, must admit though i didn't notice it untill it was pointed out. But definetly this will make a nice, and long needed addition to SAS.
