I'm just curious. Was the Japanese terrorist's file name ever revealed in the series? He has to be a pretty smart guy to produce the Laser Exterminator. I bet there is only a handful of men in the world that could even begin to understand it...

: Dishonor on your ancestors, Arashikage-san! Dishonor!

Eai! Do not call me that, you cast-off of a motherless goat!

I'm sure it was but I'm damned if I can remember. Too busy blatting him with frags in the Pampas to worry about the name.
Anyone got his filecard or a copy of BAF?

Cool. For some reason, I thought they had stated his "real name" in one of the stories. Oh well...

I'm sure his name was released somewhere, wasn't he a former Prof at Tokyo Uni??

Hmm... this is ringing some elusive bell somewhere. He features strongly in Operation Sealion and Assault On Atoll Z, and also Operation Bloodhound. He must also be in Revenge Of The Red Shadows. The Black "Shepherd" Major always called him "Nip".

The Baron is definitely ringing some bells here too, although I think he was called 'Nip' by his Blackness I keep getting confused with Stakeout banging on about 'his Nibs'!

"Slot his nibs the nutter!!"

"Shut it...."
It might be in a story where he ends up bringing out his samurai sword. Gotta dig out BAF and resolve the issue.
er... I did so in a manner of speaking, here's an edited version (with thanks to the internet and Bloodforthebaron)!!!
Red Laser was a student of laser technology uni at Tokyo Uni. He was perhaps formely Japanese Red Army Faction (oh the irony). Still no name, but I'm sure it was mentioned once somewhere in BAF (Bloodhound or Sealion) ...
For the historically minded JRW were the ones who went to PLO-run terrorist training camps in the 70s and introduced the concept of suicide attacks when they noticed that absolute kamikaze techniques were not a mainstream part of training for manipulators, indoctrinators and cell leaders. The rest is history.
http://www.fas.org/irp/world/para/jra.htm for a meagre outline. After all, there is nothing new under the post-Cold War sun (no matter what current fools in politics feed the masses).

Okay, we are all remembering that he has a file name somewhere! I'm glad I'm not bonkers... but who knows the truth? It is out there somewhere!

Why all Americans call us Japanese "nips"? It make no sense... Nippon forever!

The truth is indeed out there but it's probably somewhere in a heap of BAF copies that someone needs to re-read quick!!!
