..the barn & other accessories come from my old Matchbox farm set, just thought they seemed appropriate as back ground props :-D

Thanks for viewing

i have the pick-up, jeep, general, one police car (sans light bar) and Boss Hogg's car in that set. they were part of a playset with cardboard buildings and a card base.

Nice one. I still have my ERTL General, was my favourite racer on the school track. ;-)

That pickup reminds me of the Fall Guy pickup that I used to have as a kid. I don't remember any of the Dukes of Hazzard cars though, but I have learnt that Scalextric are releasing a General Lee this years so that might be a good excuse to get my old set out.

Thanks for the info about the cardboard bit Sundance, I've never seen that set...I think a lot of these cars were re-released to coin in on the recent film weren't they?
I know I saw a model kit of the 'General' but seem to recall it not having the Confederate flag on the roof, I'm guessing they didn't want to offend any one..but it's an essential part of the car.

They do it with the Confederate flag as far as I am aware, but only one of the Dukes.

the playset had a tarmac road section at one end, and a dirt track through most of it, and a river. i remember the river particularly because there was a card bridge over the river. the buildings were -IIRC - cooter's garage, the police station, boss hogg's place, the Dukes' house and... i think there was something else but i'm blanking what.

i think i ended up throwing it out after the buildings got too mangled after a few too many rough adventures...

the cars are safe in the loft with my many Corgi, Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars...
