They look really good but I got the impression they were doing full figures rather than body parts.

Can't wait for my stuff to arrive. I've ordered a fair bit of the Red Shadow stuff. Having worked with Tri-Gate stuff is very easy to work with.
This guy was created using Tri-Gate parts.
The torso came complete with the mid torso connector. The T bar was donated by a junk figure. The arms (Star Wars Imperial Knight Clone trooper combo) were added and the torso glued together. I added Accelerator suit legs and a Tri-Gate head. About half an hour to assemble.
Don't miss out it's easy peasy.

Any tools required to put the figures together?

The only tools I needed were a hobby knife to modify the arm pegs to fit and my little screwdriver to take apart and put back together the legs.
Out of all the heads I bought I needed to slightly dremmel one to fit the body I required.
