O.K. I freely admit to never being the hippest of cats during my teenage years... this morning the 22 year old lad I work with said "Your twisting my melon man!" so I said "Best record The Happy Mondays ever did"...the reply came forward "Who? never heard of 'em, are they one of them old time bands you listen to on Radio 2?"

Damn, does that make me feel old :-(

Better thought of as simply wise and mature - the lad you work with has yet to broaden his mind :-D

Little son of a customer asks me "are you a mummy?"

I answer in the negative

With typical childish tact (and logic) he then asks me

"are you a granny?"

I laughed, as I was dialling the Botox clinic.

Wait one of the juniors told me that the Firestarter video from The Prodigy used to scare him as a child. That made me feel old the f*cker, so I gave him a crap task to do. Vengeance is mine.

I now refuse to speak to anyone who's too young to remember Jossey's Giants.

I've just posted the kid the Happy mondays video via Facebook...he's got two Facebook accounts, his own & a false one he set up pretending to be a 15 year old girl (using false photos) , apparently he had 6 men trying to chat this girl up & leaving their mobile numbers, one of them a 30+ year old married man with kids, someone he knows who lives in the same village & drinks in his local.
He tried to get me to become friends with this "girl" a couple of days ago by sending me a Friend recommendation, but one look @ the unfamiliar name & picture roused my suspicions straight away...I don't know any women that attractive

The truth came out when I asked him who she was the following day @ work...the kids gonna get a right good kcking if the truth ever comes ou

i felt old when i was 25, talking to an 18 year old and he didn't know Mallet's Mallet and WACaday!

or worse when i was talking to a 16 year old when i was ~23 and i was telling him about the £2 coin they did for the Edinburgh Commonwealth Games in 1986 and he told me he was 2 in '86!
