Blood for the Baron!

I had a shocking night on Ebay. I had two figures ending within seconds of each other, so nice and early I set up each one in a seperate window ready for my snipe and went to have my tea (findus crispy pancakes with curly fries). With a few Seconds to go I go to snipe my first figure and Computer says no! "please log into your ebay account" Noooooooo! I lose that one obviously and it goes for a really good price but I still have about 40 seconds to log into my account and go for the second one. Too much time as it turns out as I manage to get my bid in with 30 seconds to go. 30 seconds for everyone else to blow me out of the water with ridiculous bids. Sigh. Even the best laid plans eh?

Been there, done that..lost some good deals too I guess its the "keep me signed on" which sometimes plays you a trick. The cookie or script which contains the timestamp doesnt always recognize when you have been logged on for 24 hours I guess.

there's also the thing that you can be logged in, leave the window open, and go back and if the 24 hours has elapsed EVEN THOUGH YOU WERE LOGGED IN, it's booted you back out.

I blame the crispy pancakes. Their crispy goodness made you take your eye off the ball. Sue Captain Birdseye?

it is never good when a bid goes wrong, i'm still kicking myself from a year ago when i lost a mint starduster figure due to a computer glitch as i was confirming the bid, i don't think i'll ever get over that.

I can remember when that happened, Ed. You weren't yourself for a few days afterwards. Tis all fair in love and war and, as Sgt Mjr Shutup would say, "how sad, to bad, never mind'

Another mate would call it character building, I'll just call it pancake induced bad luck. There's always tomorrow, Jimbo. Were the pancakes good?

My fave's were always chicken and bacon.

And curly fries are the Bomb! Cant beat them - especially if you can get them in the pub - perfect mid afternoon 'top up' if you are on an afternoon session.
